USEFUL LINKS & RESOURCES
This page
contains links to various products and online resources that I find useful and
insightful. Enjoy !!!
Dragon Door Original RKC Kettlebells
- Dragon Door was
responsible for introducing the Kettlebells to the American public in 2001. Ever
since then, they have been making a superior product.
In all honestly,
I learned my first Kettlebell drills using a different brand of a Kettlebell
(you can see them on "Trainer" page).
These other ones were OK and served me well, but I was completely blown off by
quality of Dragon Door Kettlebells, I used during my RKC certification.
Something about handle thickness, shape of the bell and texture of the grip
makes Kettlebell lifting so much more enjoyable. Since then I gradually replaced
my Kettlebell arsenal with Dragon Door bells, and I could not have been any
happier.
Enter the Kettlebell! Book and DVD Set
- a great book
and a companion DVD for anyone who is seriously interested in Kettlebell
training. The book outlines basic Kettlebell drills, progressions and offers a
program to follow. The DVD demonstrates all the drill described in the book and
serves as a nice visual reference. Lastly, Pavel's engaging style of writing
makes this book an enjoyable read, which is something one would hardly expect
from a fitness publication.
Power to the People!
- Russian Strength Training Secrets for Every American
- "Power to the People" to strength training is what "Enter the
Kettlebell" is for Kettlebell lifting. Eye-opening and refreshing, this book
outlines ridiculously simple (but not necessarily easy) plan on how to get much
stronger and much bigger (if you so desire) by spending no more than 30 minutes
a day at the gym.
Relax into Stretch: Instant Flexibility Through Mastering Muscle Tension
- not to be repetitive, but this book to stretching is what
"Power to the People" is to strength training. Once again, Pavel offers a
completely different approach to stretching and flexibility development.
Information in this book will completely change the way you stretch and if you
are "not into stretching", like I once was, chances are it will get you hooked.
A companion DVD is a great asset as well.
Super Joints: Russian Longevity Secrets for Pain-Free Movement, Maximum Mobility & Flexible
Strength
- great book dealing with joint mobility and pain-free joints. A
must for anyone seeking to have retain their full joint mobility as they get
older. The Joint Mobility routines make a great warm-up exercise as well.
Fast & Loose-DVD: Secrets of the Russian Champions: Dynamic Relaxation Techniques for Elite Performance
- in the modern society we spend way too much time sitting down -
sitting in front of our computers, commuting, watching TV, flying, taking
trains, sleeping on wrong mattresses. The results are painfully obvious: chronic
neck and back pain, migraines, muscle stiffness and lethargy. Fortunately, there
is a way to reverse these ailments using simple, yet effective techniques for
instant muscle relaxation demonstrates in this DVD.
Viking Warrior Conditioning The Scientific Approach to Forging a Heart of Elastic Steel
- this book by Kenneth Jay, Sr.RKC is a final product of the
first scientific study of the Kettlebell as a tool for cardiovascular
development. The results of the study demonstrated that one Kettlebell exercise,
the snatch if performed at a specified cadence at a specific intervals yields
amazing cardiovascular benefits. It was also observed that other interesting
things, like, lets say, FAT loss, happen as well.
